Overview

There are a range of common skin conditions in children which present as a rash on eruption. These include chicken pox, tinea (a fungal infection), ringworm, scabies, hives, acne, birthmarks, eczema, warts, molluscum contagiosum, cradle cap and nappy rash. Pediatric Dermatology is the term used in the US, while Paediatric Dermatology is the term used in the UK.

Symptoms and signs

Children can’t always say what is troubling them. They can’t always answer medical questions, be patient or helpful during a medical examination. Our Dermatologist is experienced in how to examine and treat children in a way that puts them at ease.

Treatment

Our Dermatologist is an experienced Paediatric Dermatologist and provides the following services for children and infants:
• Diagnosis and treatment of skin, hair and scalp conditions
• Prescriptions for treatment of skin conditions
• Medical and/or surgical treatment of skin conditions such as warts and other lesions of the skin
