Coronavirus
Updated October 2022
At The London Skin and Hair Clinic and London Real Skin we are following the UK government, Public Health England, and NHS guidance for independent healthcare advice around social distancing and PPE use.
We no longer require patients or our staff to wear face coverings while they are in our clinic, however we continue to supply masks for those who wish to wear one and our staff are happy to wear a mask for any patients who feel more comfortable in a mask wearing setting. We will continue to require the wearing of face coverings during procedures and close contact treatments.
We no longer have rules set in place for social distancing, but where possible please continue to keep space between you and others to help reduce the risk of infection.
In the event that you have tested positive for coronavirus we ask that you reschedule your face to face appointment until you test negative. A remote video consultation may be appropriate in this situation, but please check with our team first.
Clinic Opening Hours
Our Clinic is open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 9:00am to 5:30pm, Wednesdays 9:00am to 6:00pm, Fridays 9:00am to 5:00pm and Saturdays 9:30am to 5:00pm (excluding bank holidays) and during these times our team is available on the phone on 020 7183 4565 or by email to doctor@LSAH.co.uk.
Out of hours, you can continue to book medical dermatology appointments directly with our Dermatologists from our website or clinic facebook page where we have an online booking facility. You can find that here.
Covid Guidelines
As a CQC-registered hospital, The London Skin and Hair Clinic will continue to operate in line with all government directives for the independent healthcare sector regarding the COVID response.
Details on how to prepare for video consultations
We are using secure videoconferencing technology for our consultations. You will be emailed a link with your appointment confirmation that you can click on direct from the email. To ensure the most effective consultation for you, we recommend the following:
Use Chrome as your browser software for viewing your email and opening the video link
Test your webcam, speaker, and microphone are all working, ahead of your appointment
Plan to use a quiet, well-lit room indoors for your video consultation, where you have a good broadband connection. We ask that you do not schedule your appointment while you plan to be out walking outside, or in a cafe, as we want to ensure you get the best care by having the best possible connection and conditions for your video consultation
Our videoconferencing software is also designed to be used on mobiles, however you will not see yourself on the mobile version, you will only see the Dermatologist.
If you are having problems using our videoconference software, it may be because your computer is blocking apps from accessing your camera and / or microphone. You can go to Chrome / Chrome Menu / Settings / Advanced / Privacy and Security / Site Settings
