What is a Phototherapy
Phototherapy is used to treat skin conditions by exposing the body to timed amounts of specific frequencies of light. It can be effective for treating conditions such as guttate psoriasis and may be used when treating vitiligo.
What is involved in a Phototherapy
Each condition has a specific protocol for treatment, which involves a number of sessions of timed amounts of exposure to light of a certain frequency. Depending on the condition being treated, patients may be having up to three sessions per week for up to six weeks.
