What is skin surgery?
The removal of a lesion of skin. The tissue removed is sent to a laboratory to be analysed.
At a Glance
- Guide Price: Based on the number of lesions being removed and if additional tests are required, but typically from £800 to £1,800
- Frequency: One surgical session with a follow-up for removal of sutures and wound check 7-14 days after the procedure. More complex or multiple lesions may be scheduled as two surgical sessions
- Risk: Bruising, infection and scarring
- Aftercare: A dressing is applied and kept in place for 24-48 hours. Heavy exercise, swimming and alcohol should be avoided

The cost is based on the number of lesions being removed and if any additional tests are required such as swabs or immunofluorescence, but typically ranges from £800-£1,800. For new patients, a consultation is required prior to the procedure. You can find our fees here.
