What is skin surgery?
The removal of a lesion of skin. The tissue removed is sent to a laboratory to be analysed.
At a Glance
- Guide Price: Based on the number of lesions being removed and if additional tests are required, but typically from £700 to £1,200
- Frequency: One surgical session with a follow-up for removal of sutures and wound check 7-14 days after the procedure. More complex or multiple lesions may be scheduled as two surgical sessions
- Risk: Bruising, infection and scarring
- Aftercare: A dressing is applied and kept in place for 24-48 hours. Heavy exercise, swimming and alcohol should be avoided
